Bob Dylan's the Jay-Z of his time, says his Rapper Grandson

Folk rock legend Bob Dylan’s 15-year-old grandson is getting into the music business for himself on the hip-hop side, according to AllHipHop.com.

Pablo Dylan (son of Jesse Dylan) shows off his skills as a rapper and producer on his new collection, “10 Minutes.” And while their sounds aren’t exactly similar, the youngster can relate to his granddad.

"I consider him the Jay-Z of his time,” the teen says. “Of course, we do two different things and I don't want people to see me for what he has done. But what I have done is definitely influenced by him."

Pablo isn’t the only famous kid on a quest for rap stardom. “Rich Hil,” son of fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger, recently signed a record deal with Warner Bros, reports XXL magazine.

The 21-year-old will reportedly release an EP titled “Support Your Local Drug Dealer” this fall. “My dad couldn’t be more proud,” Rich Hil tells XXL.

And then there’s “Chet Haze” (a.k.a. Chester Hanks, son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson), a Northwestern student and budding rapper known best for his university-inspired take on Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.”

Chet, who made his live debut this summer, has told the Chicago Tribune that his upbringing is not "the typical (background) for a hip-hop artist." But, he goes on, "it's 2011. The nature of hip-hop has changed so much the last few years. Nowadays artists come from all walks of life. Everyone has their own story to tell.”
