Mike Brown is not Trayvon Martin or Eric Garner

Do not compare Mike Brown to Trayvon Martin or Eric Garner. Unlike Trayvon, Mike Brown was stopped for strong arm robbery of a store. Eric Garner although doing something that is considered illegal but was not hurting or robbibg anyone was subject to excessive force that lead to his death. As tragic as Mike Brown's outcome was he put himself in that situation the moment he committed a crime and decided to rob and to put his hands on the store clerk as well. This does not mean he deserved to be killed, but he started the chain of events that lead to his own death. I believe he was on a rampage and was looking for any confrontation with anyone, he was not an innocent victim like Trayvon was... Had Mike Brown not been in the streets that day looking for trouble he most likely would have never encountered the events that lead to his death. If you going swimming with sharks chances are you are going to get bitten or killed. No I do not think any black or Latino man should walk the streets fearing police officers, unless you are actually in the streets doing wrong. Mike Brown's karma that day was bad and it unfortunately lead to the tragic events. All these people rioting and looting right in their own community is senseless. What about the black owned businesses that were affected by having rioters destroy what they worked hard for. I don't think that officer woke up that morning saying let me shot a random black kid either. As far as the Grand Jury decision, I think they were right not to indict the officer. I do feel the police in this country are out of control, and if one good thing is to come of all this, I hope is that law enforcement everywhere are required to wear cameras and also have them equipt on all vehicles. I feel sorry for his family.

This is my personal opinion. I would like to acknowledge all my good and hardworking African American and black friends, as well as my God-Parents who are also African American.

After The Call - EMS First Responder Documentary - Kickstarter

Please take time to support my new project. It's a documentary called, After The Call. Click on link below to watch the video below from my Kickstarter page and decide if you would like to help fund this project.

This documentary is going to detail how our First Responders such as EMT's and Paramedics deal with everyday situations. It will show how First Responders cope with everything from birth, death, trauma, dangers, family life, 9/11, and the public. With PTSD at an all-time high I think it's important to highlight the courageous actions of our overlooked and under appreciated everyday heroes and the stresses they have to deal with everyday. Each story will be unique and will capture the hearts and minds of the public. Hopefully this can be an eye opening experience for everyone. The main goal of this documentary will be to educate the public that the men and women of the EMS system are not just so-called ambulance drivers and are not heartless robots just doing a job. I want this to be an experience that will last a lifetime.

Thank You.

Keeping the Art of True School Hip Hop Alive

For years people have been complaining how Hip Hop has gotten so bland and corny. Although it's true that Hip Hop has become so commercialized that it has lost it's lyrical credit, most of the Hip Hop artists from all over NJ are keeping it true to the lyrics. I'm not saying this because I am from NJ. I have lived in Jersey City, NJ which is right across from NYC just about all of my life, I have also lived in Miami, and California for a bit so I have been around and heard styles from coast to coast. What makes me feel the way I do is plainly from listening to the lyrics of songs. In this age of Hip Hop everyone wants to be a baller, all you hear are artists talking about popping bottles, bitches, and money. The real essence of Hip Hop has been lost in the shuffle leaving the real lyrical artists in the dark. It really doesn't matter where you are from, if your lyrics are hot then that's what it is, but the amount of lyrical artists coming from NJ is tremendous. The only thing NJ artists lack is more unity among themselves. Support from your peers, and supporting your peers is the key to succeeding.

NJ has had several Hip Hop artists and groups that have been very successful. From my hometown we had artist's such Apache, and Joe Budden doing their thing. From Newark, and East Orange you have artist and groups such as Redman, Lords of the Underground, and Naughty by Nature still keeping the art alive. They are also creating branches, venues, and other outlets to help out up and coming artists. This is what keeps the true school form of the culture alive, support and unity...
